Nowadays some people say that it is useless to test exams because they might not measure the true ability of students so well, and encourage students more than expected. However, I think anything in the world cannot encourage students to learn without tests, so I strongly agree with this statement.

Generally speaking, exams in the school encourage students to actively participate in class. Suppose that there is no score that indicate who is better or not, I think many people don't study hard because there is no indicator. For instance when I was senior, I decided to get scholarships that are required to get more than about 4.0 GPA. I passionately participated in discussion class, and I was putting my effort into class a lot. As a result, I got a scholarship that I proud of.

In addition, Students need a strong catalyst for forcing them to brush up on regularly. Actually most of them cram for exam before the test. After knowing score, diligent students realize that it is necessary to study before and after lectures. National Institute Reserch Center In Korea has shown that achievement of studentsin the class testing 4 times is more than those of 2 times

It is best to learn on one’s own. In reality, most of them do not study hard without exams. In conclusion, I totally agree that exams encourage students to learn. This is because they push them to actively participate in class and to brush up on regularly. Even though it seems that study for exams is meaningless, I think it would make adoptable person in anywhere.
