There is a lot of controversy whether the media is trustworthy.
Many people believe that people read the newspaper and watch the news
on television everyday now that think media is credential. However in
closer examination, I do not think so because media companies have its
own stake holders and they tend to exaggerate the issue for ratings.

It seems clear that some of Korean media companies could not tell
what they have to say, due to the fact that they have been involved in
their stakeholders. Generally speaking one person don't point finger
at his relative or close friend. In this sense, many media companies
don't criticize the company that does wrong things. For instance, one
of the executives of SUMSUNG , which is conglomerate in Korea, had
revealed illegal things including the bribery case and illegal
succession case. Ironically one of the major newspaper, we call DONA
NEWS PAPER, had shown the distorted information and had avoided the
truth. This is because the former president of DONA NEWS was relative
of former president of SAMSUNG. Not only that, but the former
president of SAMSUNG has a vast portion of DOAILBO stock at that time.

We know that news companies like to show dramatic and sensational
issue to attract people. One significant reason is that this helps to
improve the ratings so that they earn money. They usually want to find
some incidents, but it's imposable for bad things to be happened
everyday. They rarely exaggerate some things, but it has happened. For
example, in 2000, some korean media apologized for dumpling incident
to public because they have reported that many dumplings was made in
filthy and dirty factory, and they put the junk in the dumplings.
Actually it was not true. Just few of companies made this. Media has
deliberately shown that for money.

To sum up, I totally disagree media is reliable source of
impartial information. This is because they have its own stakeholders
and they want to show explicit things. For these reason we had better
watch the news more carefully.
