Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Reading books about real events or people is more beneficial than reading fictional stories and novels. Use specific and details to support your answer.

Even though some say a book about real events is beneficial, and after graduation high school, people don't need to buy real fictional stories and novels, I disagree with this statement. This is because fictional stories help them escape from reality like giving fresh air to the elderly; in addition, it's a perfect tool to learn second language that is essential to live in a global era

To begin with, reading fiction gives people time to escape from hectic life, so they can be relaxed. The reason why fairy tales is still famous to some adults is that it makes people dream of. After reading, they feel like child who don't need to be burdened for family and worry about financial problems. As a result it leads people who read fictional stories to be healthier mentally and emotionally

What's more, reading a fairy tales is a good means to effectively learn foreign language. There are a lot of basic and useful expressions that a student has not to ignore. I believe simply reading the novels over and over can help students improve their second language ability. For my personal experience, when I was freshman in university, I was reading an English novel to enhance my English ability every night before sleep. One day, British person asked me to the way to get the Etaewon hotel, so I explain how to get their by using expression in novel that I was reading yesterday.

To sum up, I totally disagree that reading nonfiction is better than fiction. Two significant reasons are that it helps escape from hectic life and it increase language ability effectively. I think an established fact is also important one, but one thing I’m sure of is that half of great books are fiction. How could we ever give it up?
